
ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INVENTORY AND REPORTING OF LAND-BASED GHG EMISSION REDUCTION IN DKI JAKARTA PROVINCE
Roundtable Discussion on Inventory and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction in Land Based Sector in DKI Jakarta Province was held on May 22, 2017 at the Environment Agency, DKI Jakarta Province. This workshop involves PT. Carbon and Environmental Research Indonesia (CER Indonesia) as resource persons and in cooperation with the Environment Agency, DKI Jakarta Province.
The meeting was attended by more than 20 stakeholders from the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, ie Environment Agency, Bappenas, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, University of Indonesia, and other institutions.
The purpose of roundtable discussion are to strengthen and improve the understanding of all stakeholders on climate change issues, especially in understanding the sources of greenhouse gas (GGG) emission from land-based sector in DKI Jakarta Province, the opportunity and planning for mitigation action, and the concept/philosophy of quantification and emission reduction / absorption, so it has a scientifically validity level. In the end, the participants are expected to be able to identify and invent GHG emissions especially in the land-based sector in DKI Jakarta Province, prepare the necessary activity plan, and quantify emissions at a scientifically valid level.
