2016 Became Warmest Year in History

According to official National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), 2016 officially became the new warmest year in history.
Center of Information National Environmental NOAA and NASA to gather information and find that during the "eight consecutive months, from January to August, the Earth experienced a record heat". In the press release and the conference via telephone, as quoted from voaindonesia.com, the two bodies said "with it as a catalyst, the average surface temperature of the world in 2016 ended up as the warmest since records began in 1880."
The average global temperature was 0.99 degrees Celsius above the temperature of the 20th century, a little beyond the year 2015, the previous record.
"2016 is incredible third record in a row in this series," said Gavin Schmidt of NASA officials. He also added that "most of the warming temperatures occurred in the last 35 years, where 16 of the 17 warmest years on record have occurred since 2001".
